Cranberry sauce

     A holiday classic, cranberry orange sauce is very simple to make from scratch and tastes so much better than the canned variety. Lightly sweetened with touches of cinnamon and vanilla it will go perfect with your turkey.                                               dessertsandgoodfood.blogspot.com Ingredients: 1 package 12 ounce fresh cranberries  1 cup granulated sugar 1 cinnamon stick 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice 1 tablespoon finely grated orange zest 2 teaspoon vanilla extract In a medium sauce pan at medium high heat add the cranberries, sugar, cinnamon stick, salt and orange juice. Bring to a boil stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. When the cranberries start popping turn the heat to medium low and quickly mash the cranberries against the side of the pan or use an immersion blender until the desired consistency is reached. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the orange zest and vanilla un
